A rich history
Guisppe or Joe, as he was known, was the much-loved owner and proprietor of The Hotham Arms for almost 20 years. Born in Turin and brought up in Hull, he left home at an early age and adventure beckoned. After working at the Dorchester in London he returned to Italy, working in hotels and restaurants where he acquired a real passion for food, wine and architecture.

Passion & skill
Joe had a passion and skill for restoring buildings and renovating pubs. In 1990, Joe acquired The Hotham Arms and started yet another major overhaul that spanned 20 years before sadly leaving us on 6 April 2019. After a brief interlude, The Hotham Arms is now back in the family and we cannot wait to welcome you once again.
